patch 9.0.1912: Cirrus-CI running out of credits
Commit: https://github.com/vim/vim/commit/6f00d17e8d64ed46c85625e8ac38ed0928b32c58

patch 9.0.1912: Cirrus-CI running out of credits
Problem: Cirrus-CI running out of credits
Solution: disable Cirrus-CI for now
We are running out of credits for Cirrus CI already at the middle of the
month and unfortunately this means our CI now consistently fails. This
all hapens because cirrus ci is not enforcing the free-tier limits (see also
https://cirrus-ci.org/blog/2023/07/17/limiting-free-usage-of-cirrus-ci/).
Perhaps at the beginning of the next month we can revisit and
enable just a build without testing it. Hopefully this is won't take
too many credits and we can at least verify that building works.

394 5. Cross compiling for Win32 from a Linux machine |
714 | 395 ================================================= |
396 | |
397 [Update of 1) needs to be verified]
398 | |
399 If you like, you can compile the 'mingw' Win32 version from the comfort of
400 your Linux (or other unix) box. To do this, you need to follow a few steps:
401 1) Install the mingw32 cross-compiler. See
2035 | 402 http://www.mingw.org/wiki/LinuxCrossMinGW |
856 | 403 http://www.libsdl.org/extras/win32/cross/README.txt |
1619 | 404 2) Get and unpack both the Unix sources and the extra archive |
6326 | 405 3) in 'Make_cyg_ming.mak', set 'CROSS' to 'yes' instead of 'no'. |
406 Make further changes to 'Make_cyg_ming.mak' and 'Make_ming.mak' as you
407 wish. If your cross-compiler prefix differs from the predefined value,
2035 | 408 set 'CROSS_COMPILE' corresponding. |
714 | 409 4) make -f Make_ming.mak gvim.exe |
410 | |
411 Now you have created the Windows binary from your Linux box! Have fun...
