patch 8.1.0001: the netrw plugin does not work
Problem: The netrw plugin does not work.
Solution: Make it accept version 8.x.

The autoload directory is for standard Vim autoload scripts. These are functions used by plugins and for general use. They will be loaded automatically when the function is invoked.
