patch 8.0.1749: VMS: 100% CPU use, redefining mch_open() fails
Problem: VMS: 100% CPU use, redefining mch_open() and mch_fopen() fails.
Solution: Do not wait indefinitely in RealWaitForChar(). (Neil Rieck)
