Window separator is missing. (Leonid V. Fedorenchik) Solution: Only draw the "exceeds" character in the text area. Break the loop when not drawing the text. (closes #8524)

" This test is in a separate file, because it usually causes reports for memory
" leaks under valgrind.  That is because when fork/exec fails memory is not
