patch 8.1.1375: without "TS" in 'shortmess' get a hit-enter prompt often
Problem: Without "TS" in 'shortmess' get a hit-enter prompt often.
Solution: Always truncate the search message. Also avoid putting it in the
message history. (closes #4413)
